Nictiz

Nictiz is the knowledge organization for digital data exchange in healthcare. Their motto: better health through better information. Nictiz manages standards that enable digital information provision and ensure that health information can be consistently recorded and exchanged. Additionally, they share knowledge and provide advice on digital information provision in healthcare.

Nictiz doesn't just focus on the Netherlands; they also observe international developments. They respond to current legislation such as the Wegiz, the EHDS, and the AI Act. They also form coalitions and actively collaborate with various stakeholders to collectively execute the healthcare information system.

Nictiz believes that robust data availability in healthcare plays an essential role in improving people's health. Therefore, they make every effort to ensure that their standards and solutions are implementable and applicable. They don't do this alone: collaboration with stakeholders in the healthcare sector is essential.

Nictiz is a foundation, has an independent supervisory board, and is largely funded by the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport (VWS).
